Ray Hajiha
Ray (Reza) is the mastermind and founder of Azure photography.
He is a photographer with exceptional talent and strong technique in both conventional and digital photography.
Ray started his professional photography career as a product/industrial photographer working for one of the most famous advertising agencies in Iran, shortly before graduating from the Tehran Open University in 1994.Over the next few years, he worked extensively on hundreds of photographic assignments, using his technical skill and knowledge to overcome the challenges presented in photographing a variety of different subjects, including interiors, architecture, fashion and commercial products.
In late 1998, Ray’s photography career changed dramatically. He emigrated to the United States, locating in the Washington DC area, and wedding photography became the new focus of his photography career. Ray began by assisting well-known Washington area photographers in covering a broad range of weddings, from small, intimate weddings to large, multi-cultural celebrations. His strong technical skills and artistic vision quickly helped distinguish Ray among other photographers. He is now one of the premier wedding photographers in the Washington area.When photographing a wedding, Ray applies his extensive experience in both classic portrait photography and photojournalism. His work captures the spontaneous moments that make up a wedding in an artistic style and his wedding photographs emphasize the bride's special moments and her environment.
